I never tire of seeing Australia and being back in our beautiful country. After 16 months, I’m back home. Plus Andrew gets his first view of Australia, which happens to be my humble country home town, the one with one shop, and a pub. The first day has been filled with jet lag and errands. The eye test I had today explains the trouble I had driving in the dark. Whoops, guess time for new glasses. To finish the day off, we saw so many Australian animals! Our evening backyard tour of animals included Kangaroos, Emus and loads of rabbits; hares even. Can you see the kangaroos hiding in the wheat field? I've never seen kangaroos in the fields before, and it was a funny sight to see. I wish I had my camera with me, but I made do with my phone camera. We even witnessed a kangaroo fight between 4 kangaroos. A real fist fight between these guys; fists, kicks and all! Not an everyday sight. Mostly they stop moving as soon as they know you are there.
As well as being super excited to be back (and slowly ticking off the to do list), it's super fun to be able to show Andrew my Australia. As my mom says, "You're not in Kansas anymore". It's a little different :P. As to the rest of the week, finding a new job and a new place to live are on top of the list! Now I'm off to bed to sleep off more of this jet lag.
