In recognition of Valentines Day, in a land where Valentines Day is not really celebrated, I've decided on a two way Thursday. I've been searching for the perfect red dress for so long now, and last week I stumbled onto this fantastic dress at the thrift store while the boyfriend was having a hair trim. The fact I could find a perfect dress in the 15 minutes it took to beatify him blew his mind! With that introduction, here are two ways to style that red dress.
I love how this dress fits, the cinched waist and the fluted skirt are the perfect style for me. Because the top is so fitted, it also works perfectly when placed underneath the tulle skirt. By keeping the dress as is, I amped the red up with the bright red lipstick, and this amazing sun hat I thrifted as well. The aqua and gold clutch add a little unexpected brightness to the whole outfit, and the gold, and lacey heels are understated enough to keep your eyes on the top half.
As for the second outfit, I added a pale pink tulle skirt which I found at Boohoo. The skirt itself is a little big, and poofy for my liking, but with the fitted red dress as the top, I think it works quite well. For this look, I couldn't resist pairing it with these green and pink floral heels, and a stark white Witchery clutch (also thrifted).
There you have it! Which look do you like best? Would you wear either?
