Coat: Thrifted from Salvos Stores
Dress: Modcloth (Thrifted)
Heels: Wittner (Thrifted)
Last night my mom and I went to see the ballet of Romeo and Juliet in Melbourne. I spent all day super excited for it, and had planned my outfit to match. Neither of us had been to a ballet before, and as we both love going to see live theatre and musicals, I think we both assumed it'd be up our alley. Turns out that wasn't the case! We lasted through Act 1; and I ended up falling asleep twice! I came to the conclusion that we need to watch a production with words, and that I'm definitely my father's daughter. He is known for falling asleep while attending some live performances :P.
Now to my outfit. My boyfriend found this coat at the Abbotsford Salvos store in Melbourne. I probably didn't need another coat, but I have to hand it to him for finding this beautiful piece! At only $25, it's a great new winter coat. I thrifted this Modcloth dress when I lived in Seattle and it just felt like the perfect dress to wear to the ballet. These Wittner heels are also thrifted from my local Brotherhood of St Laurence for $6; sparkles and cute bows included.
Mom and I are unlikely to forget about the ballet for a while to come, and I don't think I'll buying anymore tickets for a ballet!
What about you, what's your most memorable public performance?
